The Mellingers are an active family of 4 who wanted to update their 1990's kitchen to a place that felt more open by removing cabinets and using white upper cabinets. The kitchen was completely gutted and new cabinets were custom made for the space. The layout of the kitchen stayed the same but the feel is totally different with the changes made. Along with new cabinets we refinished the oak floors with a darker stain, put in quartz countertops, updated lighting over the kitchen island, added some upper cabinets to the ceiling to flank the block glass windows, and switched out the pantry door for a seeded glass door.
